About yoga

Benefits of practicing yoga regularly
Harvard Health Publishing compares practicing yoga to lifting weights for the brain. By regularly practicing breathing techniques and meditations, your brain becomes sharper. The research shows that yoga and meditation can improve the following functions:
- Reasoning
- Information processing
- Decision making
- Memory
- Response time
- A more tempered reaction in stressful situations.
The research also shows that yoga has a long-term effect on reducing depression and anxiety.
Benefits for your body
It is important for our body to do 3 types of exercises: stretching, cardio and strength exercises. Stretching exercises are important for a healthy lymphatic system. The main functions of lymph are the removal of waste products and protection against infections. Unlike blood, that is pumped by the heart, lymph has no ‘driver’ and migrates through the body when we move. Our ancestors moved much more than we do nowadays, so our bodies evolved to use movement as a lymphatic drive mechanism. Sitting behind a desk for many hours a day therefore works against our nature.
Yoga (stretching exercises) and walking in nature can bring the body back into balance. Powerful yoga styles, such as ashtanga and vinyasa, combine stretching exercises with cardio and strength exercises so that all the necessary movements are taught in one yoga class. The advantage of yoga is that you need few tools: a yoga mat and minimal space around you.
Feel Real Yoga offers yoga classes in different forms: individual or in groups, for personal training or in a business setting. Contact us to see what best suits your needs.

Core values of Yulia and Feel Real Yoga
Truthfulness
…telling the truth to myself and others. I don’t have a hidden agenda. I do what I say and I mean what I say.
Freedom
…to make choices and experience the consequences of those choices. Freedom to be yourself and freedom to live where, with whom and how you want.
Oneness
…with the rest of the world. I believe we are all connected with each other. Division brings strife, wars and misery.
Growth
…development and transformation are driving forces. Changes make us better. Nothing is static in our world.
